KINDERGARTEN - 5TH GRADE

Kids Church Orlando

At Northwest, we believe kids are not the future of the church — they are the church. That’s why Northwest Children’s Ministries exists: to partner with families, reach the next generation, and help each child become a fully devoted follower of Christ. We are passionate about helping children know Jesus, grow in faith, and experience the joy of belonging in God’s family.

If you’re visiting for the first time, we’re so glad you’re here. We know walking into a new place with kids can feel overwhelming. Our team is ready to help you every step of the way.

To make your first visit even smoother, we invite you to pre-register your child before Sunday.

We are here to serve you beyond Sundays as well. If you have a need, a question, or require a school recommendation letter, you can contact our Kids Church team here: Emily Wafer, Children’s Ministry Director. We consider it a privilege to partner with you in raising the next generation of fully devoted followers of Christ.

What to Expect on Sunday

When you arrive, please enter through the main entrance and head to the Families Check-In Area first. This is where your child will be checked in and receive a security sticker. A parent or guardian will need that sticker to check their child out after service.

Kids (Kindergarten–5th grade) start in the main worship gathering to experience worship together as a family, and are then dismissed to Kids Church for a time designed just for them.

Each week, children experience:

  • Creative, Bible-centered teaching that brings God’s Word to life using the Wonder Ink Curriculum
  • Intentional small group shepherding and relational discipleship
  • Worship and prayer that invites kids to encounter Jesus
  • Fun, engaging activities that reinforce faith in everyday life

We encourage first-time families to arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for check-in.

Our Core Values

  1. Focused on the Child – Every child is known, seen, and valued.
  2. Safe – Every environment is secure, and volunteers are trained and background-checked.
  3. Relevant Teaching – Kids learn to apply God’s Word to their lives now, not just in the future.
  4. Creative Bible Teaching – Scripture is shared in ways that inspire wonder, understanding, and faith.
  5. Intentional Small Groups – Relationships and discipleship happen best in community.
  6. Fun – Joyful, engaging environments open hearts to God’s love.

Family Wonder Ink Portal

To help your family continue the conversation about faith at home, we invite you to register for the Family Wonder Ink portal. This portal provides weekly lessons, activities, and resources that connect what your child learns at Kids Church with life at home.

We are passionate about partnering with your family to see children grow in faith, courage, and love for Jesus. We can’t wait to welcome your child and help them thrive as a fully devoted follower of Christ.
